FAQs

About our Tubers

Tubers are grown with love on our farm in South Central Wisconsin. Dahlia health is our top priority. Strict adherence to tool sanitation and cleaning between each plant is an important part of our procedures on the farm. We have an intensive insect control plan, using organic methods, and beneficial insects to protect our plants. We remove any plant that does not meet our expectations. Tubers will ship separately from cuttings in spring 2024.

About our Rooted Cutting

We take cuttings from our healthiest and most vigorous dahlias, and all cuttings have tested negative for TSV & TSWV. Our rooted cuttings are grown in an indoor environment with no access to outdoor pests. Cuttings are rooted in a soilless substrate. Cuttings will ship separately from tubers.

Shipping

Shipping begins in Spring 2024, when there is no risk of freezing temperatures. Dahlias cannot be subjected to freezing temperatures, and we will only ship as weather allows. Rooted cuttings and tubers will be shipped USPS Priority Mail. You will receive an email with tracking information once your order has shipped.

Please unpack your cuttings and tubers immediately upon arrival. If you are not planting your tubers immediately, please re-pack them with the materials that you use to store your tubers. Each climate and environment is different, and our shipping packaging is not meant to be used to store your tubers for an extended amount of time. Use the storage method that works best in your climate. Cuttings should be potted up immediately upon arrival and will need to be hardened off before planting outdoors.

Shipping charge is $18 per order. This cost covers the expenses of labor, shipping charges, and the biodegradable packing materials used to cushion and protect the cuttings and tubers.

We are unable to combine shipping for multiple orders.

We do not ship outside of the U.S.
